The Situation:     Tasked by the Learning Supports team to address the primary barrier to student acheivement at Metro South, as identified by staff in a survey.

The Problem:     How do we meaningfully address transportation issues for adults?

Transportation Work Group Outcomes

•     Difficult to meaningfully address many of the challenges

•     Worked with MTC to increase bus route frequency

     •     Doubled the frequency of main bus route on Penn Ave.

•     MTC-led public transportation classes at our site

•     Installed a bike rack in our parking lot

•     Created Distance Learning course based on Putting English to Work DVD-based curriculum
